CONSUMER SERVICES Education and Protection resources for consumers including pricing policies, credit reporting, quality and safety standards, information and/or counseling to consumers, mediation or binding arbitration.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND LEGAL SERVICES Resources for any area of the criminal/legal justice system including crime prevention programs, investigations, victims/witness support, and other areas from arraignment to release and resettlement of offenders.
EDUCATION Programs that provide opportunities for people to acquire the knowledge, skills, and general competence that will enable them to fully participate in and enjoy the social, political, economic and intellectual life of the community.
ENVIRONMENT, PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY Resources that work to preserve, protect and improve the natural and built aspects of the physical environment. Resources that promote public health and safety and enable people to live in ecological balance and harmony with their surroundings.
HEALTH CARE Resources to help achieve and maintain physical well-being through study, prevention, screening, evaluation and treatment.
INCOME AND EMPLOYMENT Resources to help meet the economic needs of the community by helping residents prepare for, find and sustain gainful employment. Resources for public assistance and public benefits and support for those who are eligible.
INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY LIFE Programs that promote the personal, social, leisure, and spiritual development of people in the community.
MENTAL HEALTH CARE AND COUNSELING Programs that provide preventive, diagnostic and treatment services in both community and hospital-based settings. Treatment for individuals who range from the severely chronically mentally ill through those who are experiencing difficult life transition or who are having problems coping with daily life.
ORGANIZATIONAL / COMMUNITY SERVICES Resources that offer a broad spectrum of service, including those with an international scope. Included are opportunities to enjoy the artistic and cultural life of the community, participate in community improvement or services, have a voice in the political process, receive assistance in times of disaster, and access to information services.
